Other issues you might want to consider,
- Remember to leave your emergency contact numbers with us. We will call them with pet updates.
- If you have a security alarm system, please notify the servicing company that a pet sitter will periodically be on the premises. Provide us with a pass code in case the alarm goes off. Make sure that during the pet sitter/client interview we are provided instructions for its use. You can always change it when you return.
- Keep all information in your pet sitting service contract profile current. Examples, phone numbers, emergency contacts, veterinarian preferences, etc. You can contact us anytime to verify that your information is correct.
- We request you leave payment for assignment for us to collect on the first visit.
- Make sure to close and lock all windows and access points, including access gates to your home prior to departure. They will be checked upon arrival/departure of your pet sitter. Any broken windows, or windows left open, doors or gates left open that we are unaware of could result in law enforcement notification.
- Stock up on enough supplies, paper towels, dog food, cat food, kitty litter, bathing items, medications, etc. to last your entire trip. You might want to consider leaving extra supplies in case you are delayed, or decide to stay longer. Additional fees will be charged if we have to 'shop' for Fluffy’s, or Ralph’s pet supplies.
- Inform nearby neighbors who may be looking out for your property, that a pet sitter will be making visits to your home.
